Position Overview

Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gynecologic Oncologist for locum tenens coverage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

This position includes a combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient responsibilities, and call coverage. The physician will work collaboratively with medical oncology for patients receiving chemotherapy and will have support from nursing, medical assistants, and APPs.

Schedule & Call

• Daytime coverage: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weeknight call required
• 24-hour weekday call may be required depending on schedule
• OB/GYN service provides first call
• Exact rotation and call frequency: To be confirmed

Practice Details

• Gynecologic Oncology
• Average inpatient census: approximately 2 patients
• Average outpatient volume: approximately 15–20 patients per day
• New patient visits: 30 minutes
• Follow-up visits: 15 minutes
• No walk-ins or urgent care
• Collaboration with Medical Oncology for chemotherapy
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage gynecologic oncology patients
• Provide outpatient oncology consultations and follow-up care
• Manage inpatient gynecologic oncology patients
• Participate in call coverage
• Coordinate care with Medical Oncology
• Provide evidence-based treatment planning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Complete charting in real time, by end of shift, or post-shift as required
• Work with resident physicians as part of the clinical environment

Call Expectations

• Return phone calls within approximately 20 minutes
• Return to site within approximately 30 minutes
• Night call coverage from 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Additional 24-hour call coverage may vary

Candidate Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gynecologic Oncology
• Completion of appropriate OB/GYN residency and Gynecologic Oncology fellowship
• Wisconsin medical license preferred
• Ability to obtain Wisconsin licensure if needed
• No additional certifications specifically required
• Comfortable with inpatient, outpatient, and call responsibilities
