Locums Hematology/Oncology Hospitalist - Worcester, MA • 1-Year Inpatient Role, $450/hr

We’re looking for a Locums Hematology/Oncology physician to cover inpatient oncology hospitalist shifts in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is a long-term engagement - expected to run about one year with the possibility to extend.

What you’ll be doing

• Provide inpatient hematology/oncology care in a collaborative team environment.
• Manage patients independently while also coordinating with other providers as needed.
• Expect to see roughly 12-15 patient encounters per day.
• Use Epic for documentation and charting.
• Bone marrow biopsy experience is a plus.

Logistics & schedule

• Start date: ASAP
• Assignment length: ~1 year (extension possible)
• Setting: Inpatient oncology
• Schedule: 40 hours/week, typically four 10-hour shifts (ideally Tuesday-Friday)
• Local candidates preferred; well-qualified travel candidates with reliable availability will be considered
• Compensation: $450 per hour

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Hematology/Oncology fellowship completion
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• DEA registration and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required
• Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
