Locums Emergency Medicine PA/NP - Flexible Shifts, 24/7 Physician Support, Travel Paid (Fredericksburg, TX)

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider to cover the emergency department in Fredericksburg, Texas. Open to Physician Assistants (PA-Cs) or Nurse Practitioners (NPs). Ongoing need with ASAP start.

Position

• Role: Emergency Medicine NP or PA (locum)
• Start: ASAP
• Duration: Ongoing/continuous locums coverage

Emergency Department

• Annual volume: 15,000+ visits (~41-43 patients/day)
• Current ED beds: 8 (expanding to 12)
• Trauma level: Level IV
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• Patient mix: Adult and pediatric emergency cases
• Existing staffing: 24-hour physician coverage and established APP coverage

Schedule

• Flexible scheduling
• Day and/or night shifts available
• Exact shift times TBD
• No on-call responsibilities

Clinical Support

• 24/7 physician backup in-house
• Work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary ED staff
• Established emergency medicine team with APP support

Requirements

• Active NP or PA credential
• Emergency medicine experience preferred
• Active Texas license
• Current DEA registration
• Current ACLS and PALS as applicable
• Clean clinical file
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges

Compensation & Expenses

• Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience)
• 100% reimbursement of travel expenses in addition to rate (may include airfare, hotel, rental car, mileage, tolls, parking, rideshare)

Facility & Location

• Community hospital, ~84 inpatient beds
• ED expansion/renovation in progress
• Fredericksburg, TX (Texas Hill Country)
