Urology Physician Assistant (PA) / Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Martinsburg, WV

Join a collaborative urology team in Martinsburg, WV to provide comprehensive care across inpatient, peri-operative, post-discharge, and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive urology care: evaluations, daily rounds, consultations, pre/postoperative assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with urology physicians.
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and consultations within scope of practice.
• Perform urologic procedures per training and established protocols.
• Recognize and manage complex or unstable patients; initiate appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate discharge planning, follow-up care, referrals, and required testing.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in quality improvement, education, and departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• NP: Master’s degree from a CCNE-accredited program and national APRN certification.
• PA: Bachelor’s or Master’s from an ARC-PA-accredited program and current NCCPA certification.
• Current WV license or eligibility for WV licensure as NP or PA.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Additional advanced life support certification may be required based on departmental needs.

Preferred

• Clinical or surgical urology experience preferred.
• New graduate NPs will be considered.
• Master’s-level degree preferred for Physician Assistants.
