Position Details:

Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our dedicated neonatal team. This position will be 100% impatient, working with a collegial group of NNPs under the supervision of a local physician. You will play a key role in providing high-quality care to neonates delivered at FRMC, which sees approximately 30 births per month.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care for all neonates delivered at Frye Regional Medical Center

• Care for infants in our newborn nursery

• Work independently with confidence in managing various procedures, including:

  • Incubation

  • Placement of chest tubes

  • UVC & UAC insertions

  • Lumbar punctures

• Collaborate with a team of neonatal specialists and physicians to ensure optimal care for each patient

• Provide education and emotional support to families, helping them navigate complex neonatal care situations

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and the development of clinical protocols

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification

• Active and unrestricted NP license in North Carolina

• Minimum of three years of experience as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, preferably in a Level II NICU or similar setting

• Comfortable working independently and handling critical neonatal procedures

• Strong clinical and communication skills with a collaborative approach to patient care
