Locum invasive/interventional Cardiologist needed in WI

We are seeking a board-certified invasive/interventional cardiologist to provide locum tenens inpatient coverage for an open physician position in . This hospital-based role focuses exclusively on adult inpatient and ED cardiology with in-house and call responsibilities; there are no outpatient clinic duties.

Coverage Dates & Schedule

• Requested start: October 29, 2026
• Must-cover shifts:
  • Oct 29, 2026, 7:00 AM - Oct 30, 2026, 3:00 PM
  • Dec 1, 2026, 5:00 PM - Dec 2, 2026, 7:00 AM
  • Jan 2, 2027, 7:00 AM - Jan 4, 2027, 7:00 AM
• Additional dates may be assigned after credentialing.
• Shifts include daytime coverage and on-call responsibilities; weeknight, nighttime, and 24-hour call will follow the schedule above.

Call Expectations

• In-house coverage required
• May cover both Franklin Hospital and St. Francis Hospital as needed
• Prompt return of phone calls and immediate return-to-site response when required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide invasive/interventional cardiology care for hospitalized adult patients
• Manage inpatient cardiology evaluations and ED consultations
• Perform hospital-based procedures and interventions within scope of practice
• Provide urgent cardiology assessment and call coverage
• Coordinate care with hospital staff and nursing teams
• Complete timely documentation and medical records

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified in Cardiology with invasive/interventional experience
• ACLS certification
• Active Wisconsin medical license (must be available to start without waiting for state licensing)
• Ability to respond to calls and return to the hospital promptly when required
