Job Description
We are seeking a daytime hospitalist to provide locum tenens inpatient care in Live Oak, Texas. The provider will work collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage hospitalized adult patients during daytime shifts, including admissions, follow-ups, and cross-coverage.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in coordination with the hospitalist team.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests; initiate appropriate interventions and consultations.
- Respond promptly to urgent and emergent clinical situations.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with physicians, nursing staff, patients, and families.
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and complete required documentation.
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of an accredited NP program with national certification.
- Physician Assistant: Graduate of an ARC-PA-accredited PA program with current NCCPA certification.
- Active Texas license or eligibility for licensure in Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
