Orthopedic Trauma APP (PA/NP) - Beaumont, TX (Willing to Train)

Join a high-performing orthopedic trauma team at a busy Level II Trauma Center in Beaumont, Texas - one hour east of Houston. We seek an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to collaborate with orthopedic trauma surgeons in a high-acuity environment, managing a wide range of injuries from complex pelvic and acetabular fractures to routine pediatric cases and hand injuries. This role offers strong team support, a predictable schedule, and no after-hours call.

Position highlights

• Practice at a high-volume Level II Trauma Center
• Manage high-acuity orthopedic trauma cases, including:
  • Pelvis and acetabular fractures
  • General orthopedic trauma
  • Hand injuries
  • Routine pediatric fractures
• APP coverage on-site daily, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• 10-hour shifts; full-time equals 175 shifts/year
• No after-hours call responsibilities
• Collaborative surgical and inpatient care environment

Key responsibilities

• Round with the on-call orthopedic trauma surgeon
• Evaluate and manage new consults
• Assist in the operating room
• Provide inpatient orthopedic trauma care
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams

Compensation & benefits

• Base annual compensation: $140,000
• Additional shifts: $800 per shift

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred; trauma experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable assisting in the OR and managing inpatient orthopedic patients
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
