Urology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Martinsburg, WV

Join a collaborative urology team in Martinsburg, West Virginia, providing comprehensive care across inpatient, perioperative, post-discharge, and outpatient settings. The provider will work closely with urology physicians and multidisciplinary staff to evaluate, treat, and manage patients across the continuum of urologic care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, daily rounds, consultations, and pre- and postoperative assessments.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in partnership with urology physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and specialty consultations within scope of practice.
• Perform urologic procedures per training and established protocols.
• Identify and manage complex or unstable patients and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate discharge planning, follow-up care, referrals, and required testing.
• Provide patient and family education and maintain accurate, timely medical records.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other multidisciplinary team members.
• Participate in quality improvement, education, and departmental initiatives.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s degree in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited program and national APRN certification.
• Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an ARC-PA-accredited PA program and current NCCPA certification (Master’s preferred).
• Current or eligible for West Virginia licensure as an NP or PA.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required; advanced life support certification may be required based on departmental needs.
• Clinical or surgical urology experience preferred; new graduate NPs will be considered.
