Board-Certified OB/GYN - Full-Scope Practice at Brown University (50/50 OB-Gyn, Teaching, Visa Sponsorship)

Brown University seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology physician to join an established, collaborative women’s health team in Providence, RI. Practice full-scope OB/GYN in a supportive environment with strong clinical resources, dedicated staff, subspecialty access, and robust academic opportunities (teaching, mentorship, case review, resident involvement). The group manages over 1,700 deliveries annually.

Team and clinical scope

• Join 7 OB/GYN physicians, full-time certified nurse midwives, 1 Gyn/Oncologist, 1 Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist, and 2 hospitalists.
• Care for a diverse patient population.
• Mix of obstetrics and gynecology approximately 50/50.
• Opportunities to supervise and teach Brown University medical residents and students.

Schedule and responsibilities

• 4 clinic days per week.
• 0.5 day OR time per week.
• 1 full day of protected administrative time weekly.
• Call: 1:8 rotation, 12-hour shifts (exceptions for holidays).
• Manageable call responsibilities and easy access to subspecialty support.

Facility and clinical resources

• Eleven-room birthing center with private rooms.
• Labor amenities including hydrotherapy tubs.
• Lactation support and comprehensive postpartum program.
• Level II ultrasound, on-site radiology, and advanced cervical screening.

Compensation and benefits

• Base salary range $260,000-$300,000 plus incentives up to $50,000 annually.
• Additional shift and call reimbursement available.
• 4 weeks paid time off, 1 week CME plus allowance.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency.
• Eligible for Rhode Island medical licensure.
