Locums Medical Oncologist (GI Focus) - 1-Year Outpatient Role in Fitchburg/Worcester, $450/hr

We’re seeking a General Medical Oncologist with strong GI oncology experience to provide outpatient coverage in central Massachusetts. This is a long-term locums role starting ASAP, with an anticipated one-year assignment and potential to extend.

What the role looks like

• Coverage across two outpatient sites (Fitchburg and Worcester, MA)
• 1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), typically 4 days per week
• 8 clinic sessions, scheduled roughly 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• Expect to see about 10-16 clinic patients per day
• Primarily GI oncology cases
• APP and RN navigator support, plus an on-site clinic director and manager
• EMR: Epic
• Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
• Local candidates preferred; travel candidates considered if they can provide consistent coverage

Compensation

• $450 per hour

Requirements

• MD or DO with fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
• General medical oncology experience, ideally with significant GI oncology exposure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• DEA and CSR required
• Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
