Locums Psychiatrist - Inpatient Dual-Diagnosis Unit, Manchester CT | $220/hr, Mon-Fri No Call

We are seeking a Locum Psychiatrist to provide inpatient coverage for a 22-bed dual-diagnosis unit in Manchester, CT. This role emphasizes team-based care for adults with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders in a structured, supportive setting.

Compensation

• $220 per hour

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• No call

Practice setting

• Inpatient dual-diagnosis unit (22 beds)
• Typical census ~12 patients/day
• Average length of stay: 7-10 days
• Full multidisciplinary support: nursing, social work, occupational therapy, psychiatric technicians

Clinical responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
• Perform psychiatric assessments, prescribe and manage medications, and develop treatment plans
• Participate in daily rounds and interdisciplinary team meetings
• Coordinate care and comprehensive discharge planning
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain one
• Prior experience in inpatient psychiatry and/or addiction medicine preferred
