Locum Tenens Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon - Level III Trauma Center, Twin Falls ID

A healthcare facility in Twin Falls, ID seeks a Locum General Orthopedic Surgeon to provide coverage at a Level III Trauma Center, managing acute orthopedic trauma in collaboration with surgery, emergency medicine, and inpatient teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage acute musculoskeletal and traumatic orthopedic injuries in the ED and inpatient settings
• Perform operative and non-operative fracture management and related orthopedic procedures
• Provide timely consultations for emergency department and inpatient cases
• Participate in trauma call coverage as part of the orthopedic team
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, trauma surgeons, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and OR/support staff
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to institutional patient safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma preferred
• Eligible for Idaho medical licensure
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex trauma cases and make independent clinical decisions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Compensation & benefits

• $4,050 per 24-hour shift
• All travel arranged and booked by the group (in addition to shift pay)
