Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Fellowship) - Fly-In Shift Opportunity, Houston, TX

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon needed to join a multi-specialty team near Houston, TX. Participate in a collaborative surgicalist model providing acute orthopedic trauma coverage across ED, OR, and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive orthopedic trauma care in the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and inpatient units
• Maintain on-call/response coverage within 30 minutes for trauma cases
• Collaborate with trauma surgery, acute care, anesthesia, rehabilitation, and other cross-specialty teams
• Participate in surgical decision-making, performance improvement, quality initiatives, and protocol development
• Mentor and supervise mid-level providers and trainees
• Contribute to compliance, documentation, and department performance metrics

Required qualifications

• MD or DO with completion of an Orthopedic Trauma fellowship
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Proficiency in acute orthopedic trauma techniques, including complex fracture management
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
