Locums Emergency Medicine Physician - Winter Haven FL; ED & Freestanding ER, Flexible Shifts

Locum Emergency Medicine opportunity in Winter Haven, FL. Coverage at a freestanding emergency department fully integrated with a nearby hospital campus; inpatient and specialty services available for admissions and consults.

Schedule and Shifts

• Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
• Preference for physicians willing to cover both the main hospital and affiliated freestanding EDs
• Freestanding ED shifts: 12-hour shifts required
• Main hospital shifts: may consider shifts shorter than 12 hours

ED Metrics and Facilities

• Projected annual ED volume: ~19,000 visits (~52 patients/day)
• 12 private patient-care beds
• Dedicated trauma room
• Dedicated pediatric treatment room
• Seamless transfer and handoff to intensivists, hospitalists, and specialists for admissions

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
  OR
• Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with ≥3 years of EM experience
• Current Florida medical license
• ACLS required
• PALS required
