Academic General Nephrologist - Clinician-Educator (Brown University, Providence RI)

Brown University Health is looking for a Board Certified or Board Eligible General Nephrologist who wants to blend patient care, teaching, and research in a supportive academic setting in Providence, Rhode Island. This full-time Clinician Educator role offers the chance to work with a well-established team of academic nephrologists, participate in mentorship, and engage in scholarly activity within a nationally recognized institution. Clinical responsibilities

• Inpatient consults are shared across faculty and include coverage at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital, the VA Medical Center, and Kent Hospital.
• Outpatient practice typically consists of 2-4 clinic sessions per week, with opportunities to provide specialized services including home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and glomerulonephritis care.
• Expect approximately 1-3 outpatient dialysis coverage shifts per week.

Call and work-life balance

• Overnight call is shared among faculty.
• Faculty take roughly eight weekend calls per year, supporting a healthy balance between professional duties and personal time.

Compensation and benefits

• Competitive base salary range of $180,000-$260,000, reflective of experience and qualifications.
