Oncology Rehabilitation Physiatrist (PM&R) - Brown University Health, Providence RI

Brown University Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician with experience or interest in Cancer Rehabilitation to join the multidisciplinary oncology team in Providence, Rhode Island. This role delivers rehabilitative care to oncology patients across the care continuum within an academic health system affiliated with Brown University.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage functional impairments, mobility limitations, pain, fatigue, lymphedema, neuropathy, and other cancer-related sequelae.
• Develop and coordinate individualized rehabilitation plans with medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists, therapists, and supportive care specialists.
• Provide inpatient and/or outpatient consultative care as required by the service.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and care conferences.
• Engage in quality improvement, clinical documentation, and care coordination.
• Opportunities to teach medical trainees and participate in clinical research through Brown University.

Required qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Rhode Island.

Preferred qualifications

• Fellowship training or demonstrated expertise in Cancer Rehabilitation/Oncology Rehabilitation.
