Hospitalist NP/PA - PRN & Full-Time, No Nights/Call, Flexible Shifts, Sulphur LA (Skilled Nursing)

Join a team providing primary care to residents in skilled nursing facilities across Sulphur, LA. We seek Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to deliver evidence-based, collaborative care to older adults.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily facility rounds and assessments for skilled nursing residents
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, develop and adjust treatment plans, and prescribe medications
• Coordinate care with nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient encounters using EHR (AI Scribe and voice dictation supported)
• Use clinical resources (UpToDate®) for point-of-care decision support

Schedule & Work Model

• Full-time and PRN opportunities
• Full-time shifts typically six hours; rounds start between 7:00-10:00 a.m.
• No overnight shifts or on-call duties

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted NP or PA license
• National certification (ANCC, AANPCB, PNCB, AACN, or NCCPA)
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatrics, or post-acute care preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
