Medical Director / Attending Physician - Flexible Schedule, No Nights/Call, Sulphur LA

Provide clinical leadership and deliver high-quality, patient-centered medical care across several skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Sulphur, Louisiana. In this full-time role you will collaborate closely with experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients, oversee clinical workflows, and support staff to ensure optimal outcomes and continuity of care.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as attending physician and clinical leader at assigned facilities
• Coordinate care with NPs, PAs, nursing staff, and ancillary services
• Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and perform visits (typically 18-25 per day)
• Provide oversight, documentation, and quality assurance for clinical services
• Support staff education and communicate effectively with families and facility teams

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills
