Locums Medical Oncologist - Weekday Schedule, Collaborative Team, Richmond IN

Location: Richmond, Indiana - must be willing to travel to multiple clinic sites.

Schedule and Setting

• Tuesday-Friday clinic; Mondays off
• Clinic hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• Outpatient oncology clinic with shared call coverage
• Locum tenens assignment

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematologic and oncologic patients
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
• Provide follow-up care and ongoing disease management
• Review labs, pathology, and diagnostic imaging; document findings and plans promptly
• Collaborate with APPs, infusion staff, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists to coordinate care
• Provide physician support for APPs during assigned call coverage

Call Responsibilities

• Night call on select weekdays (schedule TBD)
• Weekend call rotation (schedule TBD)
• Serve as primary and backup physician for APPs during call shifts

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility via the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
• Current BLS required
• ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• Current DEA registration if applicable
