Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist - Adult Inpatient Program, Phoenix AZ

Join a large multi-specialty faculty practice group as a full-time inpatient attending psychiatrist in Phoenix, Arizona. Provide care for hospitalized adults with serious mental illness in a collaborative, educational setting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a census of 9-10 adult inpatients (primarily involuntary admissions)
• Provide assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and discharge planning
• Work within a multidisciplinary team (nursing, social work, therapists, case management)
• Supervise, teach, and mentor residents and medical students when applicable
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical documentation requirements

Clinical context

• Average length of stay: ~22 days
• Multidisciplinary, academic-oriented inpatient adult unit

Compensation and benefits

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Must have or be eligible to obtain an Arizona medical license prior to start
