General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Redlands, CA

Join a collaborative surgical team in Redlands, California as an Advanced Practice Provider supporting general surgery patients across the continuum of care. This 40-hour per week role is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who values teamwork, patient-centered care, and a predictable schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care in close collaboration with surgeons and the surgical team.
• Manage outpatient continuity of care at the clinic located across the street from the hospital.
• Evaluate and manage acute surgical consults and inpatient admissions.
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record in accordance with hospital and SAMGI standards.
• Deliver patient and family education to ensure understanding of care plans and promote positive outcomes.

Workload expectations

• Participation in management of a high-volume practice: approximately 34,331 visits annually and about 414 acute surgical consults/admissions per year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
