Outpatient Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Martinsburg, WV

A respected healthcare organization in Martinsburg is seeking a dedicated advanced practice provider to join a growing outpatient pediatric team. This role is well suited for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered pediatric care within a collaborative clinical environment.

Position overview

• Outpatient pediatric practice caring for newborns through the provider’s preferred age range alongside experienced physicians and interdisciplinary staff.
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
• EMR: Epic.
• Average patient volume: 16-18 patients per day.

Call expectations

• After-hours coverage by phone only; no in-person call.
• Frequency: 1-2 weekdays per month and approximately 3 weekends per year.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform wellness visits, preventive care, and immunizations.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other care team members to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Active West Virginia license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• DEA registration required by start date.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
