Job Description
We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for outpatient clinic coverage in Illinois. The facility has a strong preference for one full-time locum who can cover all scheduled clinic days. Two locum providers splitting the schedule may also be considered, provided they can ensure consistent and continuous patient care.
Overview
- Through the end of 2026, with potential extension into 2027
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- 20 days/month
- Weekday coverage required for continuity of care
- Some night call; occasional weekend coverage
- No rounding or procedures
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients undergoing radiation therapy in an outpatient setting
- Conduct new patient consultations, including review of medical history, imaging, and pathology
- Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicists and dosimetry
- Provide follow-up care and survivorship planning
- Collaborate with medical oncology, surgery, and other members of the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Board Certified
- Active Illinois license required
