Locums Surgical NP/PA - Weekend Daytime Inpatient General Surgery & Trauma (Dallas, TX)

A Dallas hospital is seeking a locum NP or PA to provide weekend daytime inpatient consultation coverage for adult general surgery and trauma patients. You’ll work in a collaborative acute care setting with strong nursing support and no First Assist responsibilities.

Schedule

• Weekend coverage only
• Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM

What you’ll do

• Evaluate inpatient consults for general surgery and trauma patients
• Develop and implement treatment plans, perform follow-ups, and adjust care as needed
• Collaborate with attending surgeons and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Accurately and efficiently document all encounters
• Deliver patient-centered, high-quality care in an acute care environment

Qualifications

For Nurse Practitioners (NP)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Acute Care Adult Certification required
• Active Texas license

For Physician Assistants (PA)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible per Texas requirements
• Active Texas license
