OB/GYN Physician opening in Portsmouth, OH
Full-Time | Onsite | Robotics Available | Teaching Opportunities
A well-established, hospital-employed OB/GYN practice in Portsmouth, Ohio is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician to join a high-volume women’s health team.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time OB/GYN Physician opportunity
- Well-established, hospital-employed OB/GYN practice
- Monday-Thursday schedule, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Friday schedule, 8:00 AM-noon
- Call for own patients during the week until 5:00 PM
- Weekend and holiday call: 1:5
- Circumcisions in the nursery included with call responsibilities
- Opportunity to earn additional compensation through pay-for-call program
- High-volume clinic setting
- Average clinic volume: 25 patients per day
- Average hospital procedures: 4-6 per day
- 211 staffed hospital beds
- Service area of approximately 250,000
- Teaching opportunities available with medical students, residents, and advanced practitioner trainees
- Eligible for Clinical Adjunct Faculty status with an osteopathic medical school
- Office procedures include colposcopy, IUD insertion and removal, and biopsies
- Hospital procedures include diagnostic laparoscopy, hysterectomy, D&C, ablations, tubal ligations, and cesarean sections
- Robotic surgery available with Intuitive da Vinci 5
Compensation and Benefits:
- 2-year contract
- Sign-on bonus: 15% of base salary, up to **$100,000**
- Medical school loan repayment up to **$200,000**, paid at **$25,000 per year** for each year of service commitment
- Residency stipend up to **$25,000**, requiring up to 2-year service commitment
- Moving expense: **$10,000** paid to moving company
- Bonus incentives up to **10% of salary**
- CME/books/journals: 5 PTO days and up to **$5,000**
- Pay-for-call program available
- 29 PTO days
- Additional 5 PTO days when producing 75th percentile wRVUs
- Health insurance with small physician premium
- Malpractice insurance coverage of **$2,000,000** per claim / **$6,000,000** aggregate
- 457(b) deferred compensation plan
- 403(b) retirement/savings plan with employer match dollar-for-dollar up to 2% of base pay

Candidate Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
- Ohio medical license or eligibility
- Team player comfortable working in a high-volume clinic
- Interest in teaching and working with trainees preferred
- Must pass post-offer physical examination, drug screen, and criminal background investigation
