Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist opening in Bridgeport, CT
Full-Time | Cardiac Critical Care | Cardiothoracic Surgery Patients
A growing cardiovascular critical care program in Bridgeport, Connecticut is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Intensivist with experience caring for cardiothoracic surgery patients.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time Cardiac Critical Care Intensivist opportunity
- Join a collegial and highly trained ICU team
- Care for medically complex patients with cardiovascular disease
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients
- Practice within a multidisciplinary cardiovascular care environment
- Support from advanced cardiovascular invasive, diagnostic, and surgical services
- Heart and vascular program performs more than 1,500 surgeries annually
- Perform chest tube placement
- Perform bronchoscopy
- Opportunity to work within a large, integrated cardiovascular program
- Physician-led clinical environment
- Salaried position
- No J-1 or H-1B sponsorship available
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salaried compensation structure
- Actual compensation based on qualifications, location, internal equity, and other applicable factors
- Potential additional compensation may include hire bonuses, incentive plans, loan repayment, administrative stipends, or relocation assistance

Candidate Requirements:
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
- Experience in Cardiac Critical Care required
- Experience caring for pre- and post-cardiac surgery patients required
- Ability to place chest tubes
- Ability to perform bronchoscopy
- Connecticut medical license or eligibility
- Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing medically complex cardiovascular ICU patients
- Strong communication, collaboration, and multidisciplinary care skills
