Pediatric Hospitalist

**Pediatric Hospitalist**
**Location: New Bern, NC**

• Diagnose, treat, and manage diseases and conditions affecting the general well-being of neonates and pediatric patients
• Perform comprehensive examinations and assessments
• Order and interpret diagnostic and screening tests
• Prescribe and order medications as appropriate for patients’ medical conditions
• Refer patients for additional care and specialty services when clinically appropriate
• Stabilize neonates requiring NICU-level care until appropriate transfer can be arranged
• Provide care within a community-centered environment with access to comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services
• Work within a full-service medical center with approximately 350 beds and a broad range of medical specialties
• Access to modern medical technology and clinical resources
• Collaborative environment supported by a large multidisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
• Active North Carolina physician license required
• Current DEA certification required
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program required
• Must be an active member of the medical staff with privileges in Pediatrics
• Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining high standards of patient care
