**Position Overview**
Full-time Radiation Oncologist opportunity
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment for patients with cancer
Clinical and administrative oversight of Radiation Oncology services
Work closely with physics, dosimetry, radiation therapy, and other patient care teams
Participate in multidisciplinary cancer care and local Tumor Board

**Responsibilities**
Conduct patient evaluations
Direct simulations and provide radiation prescriptions
Develop and oversee radiation treatment plans
Manage patient treatment and provide appropriate treatment options
Provide follow-up and post-treatment care
Provide emergency and after-hours care when necessary
Follow established NCCN, ACR, ACRO, and other applicable patient care guidelines
Collaborate closely with physics and dosimetry staff
Monitor treatment plans carried out by radiation therapists
Read and interpret radiographic imaging including MRI, CT, ultrasound, sonography, and angiography
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's cancer
Maintain documentation in compliance with Medicare guidelines
Consult with other patient care services
Participate in Tumor Board, chart rounds, quality assurance activities, and other committees
Participate in on-call responsibilities
Provide coverage for fellow physicians when necessary
Provide coverage of the Oral Medication Center when needed

**Qualifications**
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
Full state medical licensure required
BLS certification
Eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer networks
Eligible for hospital privileges at designated facilities
Knowledge of applicable FDA health regulations
Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Ability to perform necessary mathematical calculations
