**General Surgery Opportunity**
**Location: Nevada, MO**
**Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery**
Position Highlights
• Full-time General Surgeon opportunity
• Rural, community-focused practice serving a population of approximately 20,000
• Opportunity to provide a broad range of surgical services
• Meaningful opportunity to make an impact in an underserved rural community
• Opportunity to build and grow an established patient panel
Practice & Clinical Responsibilities
• Broad-based General Surgery practice
• Inpatient and outpatient surgical care
• Evaluation and treatment of common general surgery conditions
• Routine and complex general surgical procedures
• Endoscopy services, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
• Collaborative care environment with experienced nursing and surgical staff
Hospital & Surgical Resources
• 71-bed rural community hospital
• On-site operating rooms and surgical services
• Emergency Department and inpatient services available for support
• Dedicated operating room and nursing teams
• Anesthesia services available
• On-call specialty coverage available, although not 24/7
• Strong transfer relationships for patients requiring a higher level of care
• Next closest major medical facilities are located more than 60 miles away
• Supportive administration and collaborative medical staff
• Opportunity to help strengthen and expand local surgical services
Qualifications
• MD or DO eligible for Missouri medical licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program
• Current general surgical skills and procedural competency
• ACLS and BLS certifications required, or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable practicing in a rural setting with a broad scope of care
Compensation & Benefits
