**APP – Hospitalist Opportunity**
**Location: Fort Madison, IA**
• Full-time APP – Hospitalist opportunity in Fort Madison, IA
• Join an established Hospitalist team in a supportive, collaborative environment
• High degree of autonomy in practice with support from an onsite Internal Medicine physician
• 7-on/7-off schedule with 168 shifts per year, providing two additional weeks off annually
• Responsibilities include admissions, discharges, and rounding
• Collaborate closely with nursing, social work, the Emergency Department, and other specialties
• Strong team atmosphere with an emphasis on teamwork and camaraderie
• Supportive administration with an open-door approach that values physician and APP input
• Opportunity to provide high-quality care in a community-focused setting
Compensation & Benefits
• $154,000+ annual compensation
• $15,000 commencement bonus
• 168 shifts per year compared with the typical 182-shift schedule
• Two additional weeks off per year
• Full benefits package
• Malpractice coverage
• Fair rotation of shift coverage
• Team-based compensation model
Practice & Clinical Support
• 380-bed independent and financially stable health system
• One physician and one APP typically cover an average of 25–30 patients
• 24/7 board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians provide ER coverage
• No ICU coverage required
• Procedures are optional
• Emergency Department located nearby for easy access to admissions
• Most specialties available for consultation and support
• Diverse pathology in a community setting with limited local competition
Community & Lifestyle
• Family-friendly community with excellent public and private schools
• Riverfront community with 11 parks, a water park, and waterfront recreation
• Access to golf, tennis, swimming, and fitness facilities
