**APP – Emergency Medicine**
**Location: Syracuse, New York**
• Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established Emergency Department in Syracuse, New York.
• Work collaboratively with Emergency Physicians and other ED NPs/PAs to provide comprehensive emergency care.

Position Responsibilities
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Administer treatments and monitor patient conditions.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Assist Emergency Physicians with patient care and procedures.
• Counsel and educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and assume a leadership role when necessary.
• Maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.
Requirements
• Current New York State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• 5+ years of NP/PA experience preferred, but not required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.
• Completion of annual NIHSS and stroke CME.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations and establish a leadership role when needed.
• Knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches within the area of expertise.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection-control standards.
• Knowledge of health promotion, health-risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques.
Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $88,000–$150,000, depending on experience.
• Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
• Parking available in the medical center parking garage.
• Hourly pay differential.
• NYS Paid Sick Leave.

• Annual discretionary, incentive, or other bonus opportunities.

• $2,000 annual CME allowance.
• Tuition coverage for eligible EM Boot Camp or SEMPA Academy, as well as Difficult Airway and basic sonography courses; travel and lodging expenses not included.

• Reimbursement for renewal fees associated with NYS PA, RN, and NP licenses/registrations and DEA certification.
