Job Description
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) for inpatient behavioral health coverage in Wisconsin. This is a Monday–Friday daytime opportunity providing coverage for FMLA and scheduled time off.
Overview
- General Psychiatry / Behavioral Health
- 16-bed inpatient behavioral health unit
- Trauma Level III
- Monday–Friday no call, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Adult and geriatric population
- EMR: Epic
Responsibilities
The APP will provide comprehensive inpatient behavioral health coverage, including:
- Psychiatric follow-up evaluations
- New patient admissions
- Discharges
- Urgent clinical evaluations
- Psychiatric medication management
- Management of acute behavioral health conditions
- Real-time or end-of-shift documentation
- Participation in interdisciplinary treatment planning
- Collaboration with the inpatient behavioral health team
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin licensure
- Current DEA registration
- ACLS and BLS certification
- Eligible for hospital privileges and credentialing
