Locum Tenens Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon - Scottsdale, AZ

Join a physician-led team in Scottsdale, AZ that builds and supports high-performing surgical teams nationwide. We focus on predictable schedules, strong clinical backing, and letting surgeons concentrate on excellent patient care in a hospital setting.

You’ll support a Level II Trauma Center alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative, well-supported environment. The role offers a balanced mix of operative and non-operative trauma care with a strong emphasis on quality outcomes and patient-centered treatment.

Schedule

• 183 annual 24-hour shifts
• Blocked scheduling with 7-day rotations
• Built-in recovery time between rotations

What you’ll do

• Manage operative and non-operative care for orthopedic trauma patients
• Participate in trauma call coverage
• Treat a wide range of fractures and orthopedic injuries
• Work closely with trauma surgery, emergency medicine, hospitalists, and rehab teams
• Balance surgical cases, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic responsibilities
• Maintain timely documentation and high standards of patient care

What we’re looking for

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship completion preferred
• Experience managing orthopedic trauma in a hospital-based setting
• Eligibility for Arizona medical licensure
• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
