Location: Kingwood (Houston area), TX - Level II Trauma Center supporting trauma and comprehensive stroke programs.
Coverage dates and times (24-hour shifts)
- Oct 1, 2026, 07:00 - Oct 5, 2026, 07:00
- Oct 16, 2026, 07:00 - Oct 19, 2026, 07:00
- Oct 29, 2026, 07:00 - Nov 2, 2026, 07:00
Clinical details
- 24-hour in-house coverage for trauma and stroke patients
- Estimated volume: ~7 patients/day
- EMR: Meditech
- Facility: Level II Trauma Center with comprehensive stroke program
Primary responsibilities
- Provide neurosurgical evaluation, management, and operative care for trauma and stroke patients
- Triage and manage emergency and inpatient neurosurgical cases
- Perform consultations and assist with surgical interventions as required
- Coordinate care with emergency medicine, trauma, stroke, and other specialty teams
- Ensure continuity of care throughout each coverage period
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurological Surgery
- Active Texas medical license
- Availability to provide 24-hour coverage on the listed dates
