Job Description

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Clinical Radiology Division is seeking Fellowship Trained Diagnostic Radiologists to join our world class health system in the Pittsburgh area. Must have an MD or equivalent, be BC or BE in Radiology with the ability to obtain an unrestricted PA license.


The Clinical Division is a large employed practice of 90+ Subspecialty-trained Radiologists covering the majority of UPMC's Western Pennsylvania footprint, including multiple level I and II trauma centers as well as several large outpatient imaging centers. The division is built on the principle of providing the best possible care to our growing group of community hospitals. The division maintains a work-life balance with ample time off to recharge. We believe that developing a sense of belonging through cultivation of professional relationships is paramount to a rewarding career. Radiologists in our group get a clinical appointment to the academic medical center and there are opportunities for teaching residents for those interested in professional satisfaction, but education/research is not a requirement or part of our vision. Leadership development and opportunities available for the qualified and interested candidates. The Clinical Radiology Division is part of the UPMC Department of Radiology, one of the largest academic departments in the country with over 200 Radiologists, 42 research faculty, 66 residents and fellows.


Opportunity Details

  • Seeking Generalists who are Fellowship-trained in either Body, MSK, or Neuroradiology.
  • Coverage includes a mixture of subspecialty and ED generalist shifts.
  • Variety of shifts available: 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 11a-7p, 2p-10p EST
  • 12 weekends/year covered remotely with a post-call day the week before or after
  • 9 weeks of PTO
  • Can also accommodate a 1-week on, 1-week off model
  • Work is directly supported by a team of Reading Room Assistants.
  • Clinical-affiliated appointment with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Radiology, providing access to participate in teaching and/or research if desired
  • Visa sponsorship available
