Job Description
Well-established orthopedic practice in Fall River, MA is hiring an experienced Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to evaluate and manage adult orthopedic referrals in an outpatient setting. The provider will work independently while collaborating with Board-Certified joint, shoulder, and hand surgeons. Strong recent graduates with relevant clinical experience will be considered.
Key responsibilities
- Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult orthopedic patients in clinic
- Coordinate care with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary team
- Order and interpret imaging and labs; initiate treatment plans and referrals
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality initiatives
Schedule
- Monday-Friday; no nights, weekends, or hospital call
- Full-time preferred; 4 days/32 hours per week considered
- Immediate start with prompt onboarding and credentialing
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts NP or PA license
- Valid DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration (MCSR)
- Orthopedic experience preferred; experienced NP/PA strongly preferred
- Qualified recent graduates with strong clinical background considered
- Ability to evaluate and manage patients independently; strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Teamwork orientation; bilingual English/Portuguese preferred
