Cardiac Anesthesiology Physician - Hospital-Based Cardiac Cases, Collaborative Team, Martinsburg WV

Join a collaborative anesthesia team in Martinsburg, West Virginia to provide hospital-based anesthetic care for cardiac and surgical patients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive anesthesia for cardiac and surgical cases
• Perform preoperative evaluations and create individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer and manage general and regional anesthesia as indicated
• Manage perioperative hemodynamics and airway care
• Care for complex, high-acuity cardiac patients and cases (including intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography if required by practice)
• Provide postoperative care and assist with acute pain management
• Collaborate with surgeons, cardiologists, CRNAs, and multidisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation and comply with institutional protocols

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
• Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
• Active West Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain one
• DEA registration (active or obtainable)
• Current ACLS and BLS certification

Work setting: Hospital-based practice in Martinsburg, WV.
