Job Description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for locum tenens coverage in Wisconsin. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive oncology team with dedicated nursing, medical assistant, APP, and pharmacy support.
Overview
- Inpatient & Outpatient
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- No scheduled call; emergency coverage only
- Approximately 20 patients/day
- Inpatient Census: 5–10 patients
- Adult & geriatric patient population
- EMR: Epic
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Active Wisconsin license or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Hematology/Oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage approximately 20 patients per day
- See new oncology patients with 45–60 minute visit times
- See benign Hematology new patients with 15–30 minute visit times
- Conduct follow-up visits in 15- or 30-minute slots
- Participate in virtual visits
- Respond to walk-ins and urgent patient needs
- Enter approximately 80% of orders
- Maintain real-time or end-of-shift chart completion
- Meet a productivity expectation of approximately 65%
