Part-Time Medical Director / Attending Physician - Skilled Nursing Facilities (Hospitalist) - Bonham, TX

Provide clinical oversight and attend to patients at local skilled nursing and long-term care facilities in Bonham, TX. Partner with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to manage post-acute and long-term care patients, ensure quality clinical care, and support facility medical teams.

Schedule and Workload

• Part-time; physicians typically cover each facility 1-2 days/week
• No fixed start/end times, no overnight shifts, no on-call duties
• Average 18-25 visits per day
• Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
• Company-provided iPad with LTE for documentation

Key Responsibilities

• Admit, evaluate, and manage patients in skilled nursing facilities
• Provide clinical leadership and oversight of NP/PA teams
• Coordinate care plans, transfers, and transitions with facility staff and families
• Complete timely documentation and participate in quality initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license or eligibility for licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and leadership skills
• Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
