Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Montgomery, AL

Role Overview

• Part-time (2 days per week) within Monday - Friday
• Enjoy stability, support, and flexibility with onsite patient care and remote documentation
• No nights or weekends
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings
• Coverage area includes Fairhope, Daphne, and Mobile, AL

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AL state license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain
• 6+ months experience needed as a PMHNP or Psych PA
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred
