Locums Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Inpatient, No Nights/Holidays, $125-$135/hr

Join a busy inpatient neurosurgery team in Boston, MA as a locum Nurse Practitioner supporting patient care on the floor. You’ll work closely with neurosurgery residents and the multidisciplinary care team to manage and follow patients throughout the day - residents focus on the OR while APPs stay dedicated to bedside care.

Compensation

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week
• 13-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• Full-time coverage preferred, but providers available for a minimum of 2 weeks per month will be considered

What you’ll do

• Round each morning with neurosurgery residents to review plans and handoffs
• Provide bedside assessments, ongoing clinical management, and follow-up for inpatient neurosurgery patients
• Place, review, enter, and manage orders in the medical record
• Assist with discharge planning and complete discharge documentation and orders
• Coordinate care with residents, attending physicians, nursing staff, and other team members
• Perform bedside procedures as appropriate (for example, removal of Hemovac and Jackson-Pratt drains)

What we’re looking for

• Nurse Practitioner with board certification in neurosurgery
• Active Massachusetts license
• At least 1 year of neurosurgery experience, with inpatient neurosurgical experience required
• Pediatric inpatient experience preferred
