Locum Night Emergency Medicine NP or PA - Lake City, FL (10-12 hr Nocturnist Shifts)

Locum nocturnist opportunity in Lake City, FL supporting a busy emergency department. Clinical-focused role within a well-supported emergency medicine team.

Schedule

• Nighttime/PM coverage
• 10-12 hour clinical shifts
• Consistent nocturnal coverage required
• No trauma center designation

Emergency department

• 40 ED bays
• Volume ~1.8 patients per hour
• 10-11 EM providers across 24 hours
• Standard ED support staff
• Nurse-to-patient ratio 1:4
• Collaborative team environment

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat ED patients
• Obtain histories, perform physical exams, and document medical decision-making
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing
• Perform common emergency procedures within scope of practice
• Stabilize and manage urgent/emergent patients
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and consultations
• Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• 1-2 years emergency medicine experience
