An established primary care clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a full-time, permanent Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join its outpatient care team. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who values comprehensive, patient-centered care and is interested in practicing within a value-based healthcare model.

The physician will provide full-spectrum primary care to patients ranging from infants to retirees, managing acute and chronic medical conditions while emphasizing preventive medicine, wellness, and continuity of care. The role also includes clinical supervision of three Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs), offering an opportunity to contribute to team development and the delivery of high-quality primary care.

The clinic operates outside the traditional fee-for-service model, does not bill insurance, and does not utilize relative value units (RVUs). The clinic follows a value-based care model rather than a traditional fee-for-service structure.

* Practice Setting: Outpatient Primary Care Clinic
* Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
* Patient Volume: Approximately 8–14 patients per day
* Patient Population: Infants, children, adults, and older adults
* Call Requirements: None
* Weekend Requirements: None
* Late Clinics: None
* After-Hours Charting: Not required as part of the stated schedule
* EMR: Elation

**Key Responsibilities**

* Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Provide comprehensive primary care for patients across the lifespan, from infants to older adults.
* Conduct routine and comprehensive physical examinations.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' medical needs and health goals.
* Promote preventive care, wellness, and health education.
* Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests.
* Coordinate specialty referrals and collaborate with other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
* Supervise and support three Family Nurse Practitioners.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical practice development.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using the Elation electronic medical record (EMR) system.
* Support a value-based approach to care focused on patient outcomes and quality.

**Required Qualifications**

* Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, as appropriate to the position.
* Truly board-eligible candidates in Family Medicine will also be considered.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
* Clean professional background with no malpractice or medical license issues; no exceptions.
* Ability to provide comprehensive outpatient primary care.
* Willingness and ability to supervise advanced practice providers.
* Preferred Qualifications
* Active New Mexico medical license; candidates who require assistance obtaining a New Mexico license will be considered.
* Experience in comprehensive primary care and preventive medicine.
* Previous clinical leadership or supervision experience.
* Familiarity with value-based care models and outcomes-focused healthcare delivery.
