Hospitalist Physician opening in Presque Isle, ME
Full-Time | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts | No Call | Open ICU
A community hospital in Presque Isle, Maine is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to join an established Hospitalist team providing 24/7 inpatient care.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Full-time Hospitalist opportunity
- Hospital-employed position
- Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physicians considered
- Both new graduates and experienced physicians encouraged to apply
- Infectious Disease experience or interest welcomed
- 12-hour rotating shifts
- Day shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
- No call responsibilities
- Procedures optional
- Provide 24/7 inpatient coverage as part of the Hospitalist team
- 25-bed Medical/Surgical Unit
- 6-bed open ICU
- On-site specialty support including Orthopedics, Cardiology, Vascular, Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and Pain/Physiatry
- Full anesthesia and ancillary support
- Medical school affiliations
- Opportunity to oversee medical students
- Leadership opportunities available
Compensation and Benefits:
- Annual base salary range: **$304,307 – $365,569**
- Additional compensation potential based on quality incentives
- Sign-on bonus
- Relocation bonus
- Student loan reimbursement of **$20,000 per year with no stated maximum**
- Generous paid time off
- Annual CME allowance
- Claims-made malpractice insurance
- Tail coverage provided
Candidate Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Interest in collaborative inpatient medicine
- Comfortable participating in rotating day and night coverage
- New graduates and experienced physicians considered
