Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant - Full-Time/PRN in Stockbridge, GA | Competitive Pay & Benefits

We’re looking for a skilled, compassionate Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant to join our trauma team in Stockbridge, GA. Full-time and PRN opportunities are available. In this role you’ll be an essential part of delivering high-quality care to trauma patients across the continuum - from emergency response through surgery and recovery.

What you’ll do

• Perform focused trauma assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies.
• Collaborate with surgeons and the care team to create and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist in the operating room with pre-op preparation, intraoperative support, and post-op management to promote safe, efficient recovery.
• Participate in trauma activations and help manage critically ill or injured patients according to established protocols.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and protocol development to continuously improve trauma care.
• Educate patients and families about injuries, treatment plans, and post-discharge care to support recovery and reduce readmissions.

What we’re looking for

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current PA certification and active Georgia licensure.
• Strong background and hands-on experience in trauma care and surgical settings.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-based environments.
