Join a surgical team in Paducah, Kentucky, as a Trauma/Acute Care Surgery physician in a full-time role that delivers an exceptional work-life balance through a unique 26-weeks-per-year schedule. You will provide comprehensive trauma and acute care surgical services while helping build and expand a developing program.

• Compensation: $435,000 annual salary
• Employment: Full-time, 26 weeks per year
• Schedule: Preferred 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off block schedule (flexible block lengths considered)

• Average operations: ~1 per day
• APP support: None initially
• Emergency Department volume: ~39,680 visits/year
• Projected annual consults: ~492 (expected to grow)
• Projected annual operations: ~359 (expected to grow)

Practice opportunity
You will help establish and grow a Trauma/ACS program, providing surgical consultation and operative management for trauma and acute care patients. You’ll work alongside an initial team of two surgeons and have the autonomy to manage cases independently while contributing to program development and increasing clinical volume.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery or a related surgical specialty
• Experience managing acute care and trauma surgical patients
• Comfortable providing independent surgical consultation and operative care
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to contribute effectively to a developing program and to work within a flexible block schedule
