Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon (Fellowship) - Fly-In Shifts Near Houston, TX (Board-Cert/Eligible)

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a collaborative, multi-specialty team near Houston, Texas. In a surgicalist model, you will provide acute orthopedic trauma coverage across the Emergency Department, operating room, and inpatient settings while supporting quality improvement and team development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive acute orthopedic trauma care in the ED, OR, and on the wards
• Maintain response availability within 30 minutes for trauma activations
• Work closely with trauma surgery, acute care, anesthesia, rehabilitation, and other specialty teams
• Participate in surgical decision-making, quality improvement, performance and protocol initiatives
• Mentor and supervise mid-level providers and trainees to promote clinical excellence
• Contribute to compliance, performance monitoring, and institutional initiatives

Qualifications

• MD or DO with completed Orthopedic Trauma fellowship
• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Proficiency in acute orthopedic trauma techniques, including complex fracture management
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
