Job Description
We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens opportunity in Wisconsin. This inpatient behavioral health assignment will provide FMLA and full-time coverage with no call.
Overview
- Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- Adult and pediatric patients ages 5 and older
- Approximately 8–12 patient encounters per day, depending on acuity and census
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult and pediatric inpatient populations
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, follow-ups, admissions, and discharges
- Perform urgent clinical assessments as needed
- Manage psychiatric medications and acute behavioral health conditions
- Complete clinical documentation and participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning
Requirements
- Current Wisconsin license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Physician Assistant, as applicable
- Current national certification appropriate to the role
- Inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health experience strongly preferred
- Experience with psychiatric medication management and acute behavioral health conditions
- Current DEA registration
- Current BLS certification as required by facility policy
