Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon - Level III Trauma Center, Indio CA (FT, $312K/9 Shifts)

Location: Indio, California
Setting: Level III Trauma Center - full-time position providing trauma and emergency general surgery care in an inpatient, operative, and consultative role within a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation: $312,000 per year based on 9 shifts per month.

Schedule: Full-time clinical schedule; approximately 9 shifts/month (details to be confirmed with employer).

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage trauma and emergency general surgery patients.
• Provide inpatient surgical care, perioperative management, and surgical consultations.
• Perform emergency operative interventions as clinically indicated.
• Participate in daily rounds and coordinate care across inpatient units.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and specialty services.
• Stabilize patients, coordinate transfers, and manage discharge planning when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical protocols and quality/safety standards.
• Contribute to interdisciplinary communication and quality-improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in trauma and emergency general surgery preferred.
